It’s the time of year that we all start making resolutions! We want to lose weight, eat right, drink more water, eat less sugar, actually go to the gym… right? How about non-health related goals? We want to spend more time with family, play with our kids, take time for a date night, or take some ME time. Still great goals! How about professional goals? What do you have on your agenda for 2018 to really make your business take off? Have you specialized yet? Are there advanced education courses you’d like to take? Have you set your goals? We want to help you meet your potential in 2018 with our education platform, The Esthetics Academy, plan a list of priorities for the new year, and master the art of the pre-sell.
Why should you further your education? Well, as we like to say “An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.” We offer classes to help you build your business through our hands-on training courses. By continuing your education, you can better find your niche and find areas where you’d like to specialize. You also instill more confidence in your customer base as they see that you are serious about your training and certification. We offer a wide variety of classes on our website, so be sure to check them out to see where you’d like to expand your business!
Once you’ve taken a look at our class schedule for 2018, this is when we need to plan out our priorities. Make a list of the things that you need, want, or have to do in 2018. Some of these are going to be a lot of fun (hands-on training), other things like accounting and prepping for tax season you may have been procrastinating. Put them on the list anyway. Put as many things on the list as you’d like, because we are going to break them up. Once your list is completed, then you have a job to do. Go down your list and put A, B, or C next to each item. A are the items that you are really excited about, B are the items that you need to do – but don’t have as much enthusiasm for, and C are the items that you just don’t want to do and are dragging your feet on. These are the things that we rarely accomplish. Now set your timeline. Depending on how many items are on your list, you will want to break it up into weekly, monthly, or quarterly goals. For each section you want to have an equal number of A, B, and C goals. List the items with a deadline first, followed by C, then B, then A. Those C items are your new top priority, because they are the ones that you will most likely push off first. With this list you are now ready to conquer the new year. Keep it where you can see it, so your goals are always in the forefront of your mind!
Now that you know the classes that you are interested in, you know when you can take them (don’t forget, course registration closes as soon as the class fills up or two weeks prior to the course date –whichever comes first) then you have to figure out how to pay for them. This is when you contact your best customers, your loyal regulars, the ones who have been with you since the very beginning and will want the latest and greatest. They trust you, and you trust them. Offer these customers the services that you plan to get certified in at a discounted rate, if they prepay before your class date. By lining up clients before, selling them the new services at a discounted rate, and having them to help build your real-world confidence, you can’t go wrong. Now your education is paid for, and you have clients that are eagerly anticipating new services!
We are excited about 2018, and about what we plan to accomplish. We know that you have your own goals for next year, but we are here to help you prepare for it! Visit our course schedule, or give us a call today. We are eagerly looking forward to hearing from you.
